Apply for a Partners in Conservation (PIC) Grant

STEP 1:

Please read our grant guidelines and frequently asked questions. Teton Conservation District prioritizes grant applications that support our 2020-2025 Strategic & Long-Range Plans. If you have further questions or seek guidance on your grant application, email us at info@tetonconservation.org or call (307) 733-2110. Our program experts often provide feedback on draft applications, but please get in touch with us at least two weeks before the application deadline to allow us adequate time to assist you.

STEP 2:

Complete the Grant Application Narrative and the Grant Application Budget. In order for the Narrative form to work properly, download it as a PDF (do not type directly into a browser window). The text boxes are intentionally limited; do not type more than can appear in a text box. If you’re unable to apply for a grant using a computer, hardcopy applications are available upon request.

Click here to download an Example Grant Application Narrative. An example budget is included in the third tab of the Grant Application Budget spreadsheet.

STEP 3:

Submit an electronic copy of your grant application by email to Liz Collins, Grants and Communications Specialist at lizc@tetonconservation.org. PIC grant applications are due by 5:00 p.m. (MT) on February 1, 2025. Submit all of the following required materials and optional materials as necessary:

  1. Grant Application Narrative - Required

  2. Application Budget - Required

  3. Landowner Letter of Authorization: Required only if your project is taking place on private land and the landowner is not the applicant. If this applies to your project, include a signed letter from the landowner(s) authorizing the Applicant Representative to apply for a grant for work to be conducted on their land.

  4. Supplemental Materials - Optional. You may attach supplemental materials such as additional technical or scientific information, photos, maps, diagrams, letters of support, or anything else that supports your application. Please compile your supplemental materials into one document if possible. Note that your supplemental materials will be printed multiple times; please consider the number of pages you attach.

STEP 4:

All PIC applicants will have the opportunity to meet with the Teton Conservation District Board of Supervisors on Thursday, February 13. Meetings can be remote (preferred) or in person at our office and will include a 5-minute presentation followed by a 10-minute Q&A session. Time slots will be assigned between 9 AM and 1 PM. The board will review applications beforehand.
