Conservation Planting Program

Teton Conservation District (TCD) launched the Conservation Planting Program (CPP) in 2022 to support agricultural and native vegetation projects. The goals of the program include improving soil health, water quality, and air quality; supporting native pollinator species; and saving and energy and labor. There are two pillars to the program: the Residential program and the Agricultural program.

Agricultural Conservation Planting Program

The agricultural CPP supports agriculture projects and practices that benefit natural resources and the community food system.

Who can apply?

Farmers, ranchers, residents interested in growing food at home.

what kind of support is offered?

Teton Conservation District provides two types of support:

  1. On-the-ground support: TCD staff provides free site visits to discuss agricultural practices that enhance natural resources.

  2. Grant funding: TCD has limited grant funding available to help private landowners implement agricultural conservation planting projects. The grant program requires a minimum 50% cash or in-kind labor or equipment match from the applicant.
