Weed Identification
Identifying weeds is important for early detection and eradication of new weed infestations, containment of existing infestations, prevention of weed spread, and implementation of weed management and monitoring programs.
A variety of resources are available to be used in the identification of noxious weeds. Teton Conservation District has free booklets for weed identification in the Greater Yellowstone Area, and the Jackson Hole area. In addition, you can follow this link to the Teton County Weed & Pest District site to see photographs of noxious weeds in different life stages and landscapes, information on its characteristics, and threats posed by these plants.
