WANTED:  Local Conservationists for Board Member

Take part in actively shaping conservation in Jackson Hole!

The Teton Conservation District is seeking candidates for a single Conservation District Supervisor position on the Teton Conservation District Board of Supervisors.The successful candidate will serve on the five-member, locally elected, board for a one-year term until the next general election in 2018.

The Board of Supervisors is responsible for directing the conservation programs and projects carried out by TCD Staff that take place within the boundaries of the Teton Conservation District (which includes Teton County, Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park). Supervisors attend about 15 meetings a year locally, in addition to annual regional and statewide meetings which take place during the fall and winter respectively. The position is not compensated, but reimbursement for meeting-related travel expenses is available. 

As a member of the Board of Supervisors, you will have an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy by ensuring the sustainable use and protection of local natural resources for generations to follow. Septic/Sewer Mapping Request for Proposals

Teton Conservation District (TCD) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the consolidation of existing publicly available wastewater infrastructure data from the study area in Teton County, WY.

TCD is soliciting proposals from engineering and environmental consulting firms with GIS capabilities to create two spatial datasets. The first spatial dataset will contain parcel scale wastewater treatment information, such as raised or traditional leach field, or sewer connection from selected areas in Teton County, WY. Parcel scale wastewater treatment information will be gleaned predominantly from public information on the Teton County GIS Mapserver. The second spatial dataset will contain all publicly available line and point sewer infrastructure data, such as sewer line location, capacity, material, and owner, as well as lift stations, pumps and grinders within Teton County, WY. This information will be consolidated from sewer districts and municipalities, or their contractors.

The deadline for proposals is NOVEMBER 16TH, 2017 AT 5PM. Proposals will only be accepted in .pdf format via email to carlin@tetonconservation.org. Proposals will be reviewed and ranked by TCD staff. TCD reserves the right to extend the proposal deadline, and complete follow-up interviews of applicants.
